Welcome to the Dimitar Georgiev Studio. We craft handmade beautiful bowed instruments, in the heart of the Rose Valley located in Bulgaria. Our instruments come with nearly 100 years of luthier heritage, great craftsmanship, talent and knowledge.
The story goes that Stradivari and Amati obtained their prized woods from Bulgaria’s majestic Rhodopi mountains, at the foot of the Balkan range, near the Rose Valley and ancient Tracian tombs. At Dimitar Georgiev Studio, we continue to craft instruments from those same whispering forests.
We reproduce models of Stradivari and other famous masters or make precise copies of old instruments keeping the genuine individuality of each instrument. The fine attention to detail, perfect varnish and precise selection of well-seasoned wood is the pride and winning formula of our studio.
